We're Advanced!!!!
Okay, this is another of my obsessive music postings, but the flute quartet I'm in has become a trio. One woman e-mailed the conductor and said that her hours at the hospital had changed and she would be unable to join us. We all think it is probably an excuse, because she was concerned that she was holding us back. None of us feel that she was, but I know that she was stressed about a couple of pieces. We all have moments like that, but we can't force her to come back.
At any rate, the conductor has decided to let the OFA (Ottawa Flute Association) know that our flute choir should be billed as advanced, for the information of future members. Woo hoo!!!!! And we tried out a couple of pieces today. Oh yeah, I'm actually going to have to practice!!!! I'm so excited!!!! (I know, it doesn't take much).

thats kind of sad about the lady. But yay for advanced!
Yes, it is sad about the other lady. We are getting in touch with her to tell her that we can change to Thursday or Monday if that works better for her, to let her know we would still like her to be a part of our group. The thing is, she also belongs to another flute choir (intermediate level), and she may just feel more comfortable there. I'll keep you posted.
